I created this artwork in my art class. We were supposed to use either tempra or water color. I chose water color because I like it better. Throughout the semester, I have been creating and expanding on this world in my head. I desided to create a picture I think would have been taken in that universe. I wanted to create a class photo but add some more elements to it. I wanted the kids to seem controled. First I drew and painted the people in water color. I also blocked out the faces of people who weren't important. Anyone who's face isn't blocked has some different element to them. For example, a skirt or necklace. Then I added detail with crayola pencils. I then cut the matt myself and added some artifical stains to make it look old and worn. Finally, I smashed the glass and glued it to the frame. I created this picture entirely by myself and wanted people to be able to see it. Everything about this picture is part of the art. This is a very different style for me and I am so happy with how it came out.
